Please note that the Club House will be closed to all traffic for the immediate future due to a possible COVID-19 contact on Wednesday, April 28th in the afternoon. Although we are very confident that no spread has taken place, the Board of Directors is taking an abundance of caution to protect our staff and members. All services will be available through the Club House Window until all staff have been tested and have negative tests. We continue to ask all golfers to practice Social Distancing and to continue wearing a mask when social distancing is not possible. Also, if you have a tee time, call the club when you get there at 902-762-2007 to state who you are and your playing partners. This will be very important if we are exposed at a later date. Thanks for understanding.
Golf carts. Please try to avoid the wet spots and keep 30 feet or more from the greens, all around, not only the front of the green. Thanks. Management
A gem in southwestern Nova Scotia ...
Located in West Pubnico, Nova Scotia, the West Pubnico Golf & Country Club officially opened August 31, 1968 as a nine-hole course. The club later opened its back nine on June 20, 1991. Today there are around 200 members and many visitors who enjoy a driving range, putting green and club house with licensed snack bar.
The men have a yardage of 6052 yds and slope of 124 and the ladies yardage is 5415 yds and slope 122. The front nine consists of one par 5, six par 4, and two par 3 holes. The back nine consists of three par 5, four par 4, and two par 3 holes. The challenging back nine offers water in front of the green on the 10th, 12th and 15th holes and in fact, the 15th is an “island green” and the course’s signature hole.
About the Region
The West Pubnico Golf & Country Club is located in the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores region. This is where the land meets the sea, where the food is fresh and local, and the music is too and where the darkest skies let stars shine their brightest.
Our Acadian community is the largest and oldest in Nova Scotia. We are known as the Banana Belt of Atlantic Canada due to our mild winters and cool summers.
